Novo nordisk Education Foundation and Gujarat govt sign MoU

The Government of Gujarat today signed MoU with Novo nordisk Education Foundation for an innovative project for better availability of treatment of diabetes.
Under the ‘Changing diabetes barometer project’ for awareness and education on this disease.
Gujarat Health Minister Shri Jaynarayan Vyas said here that more than six crore people in India suffer from Diabetes. To control diabetes India spends 2.1% part of its GDP. One person dies due to diabetes in India per 10 second while every third second adds a new patient of this disease.
Jamser Hoiland, international President of Novo Nordis, minister of state for health Shri Parbatbhai Patel, Health Commissioner Shri PK Taneja, Secretary Shri Rajesh Kishor were among those present on this occasion.
