Rahul Gandhi seeks details on remotest villages of Gujarat

As we reported earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to come to Surat on 18 July to address a Youth Congress workshop.
According to a source, Rahul Gandhi has asked district leaders of Youth Congress in Gujarat to come with details of remotest village in their district. Accordingly the district leaders of have completed the task, and are now ready with the detail report on at least one remote village situated in their district.
Some district units have prepared a report with photographs of a village. Details like local population, situation of school, status of healthcare facility , water supply and roads are part of such reports.
All reports are to be handed over to Rahul Gandhi on 18th according to a source.
Rahul’s team will study the reports in attempt to learn whether the development has reached last mile and whether the central government’s grant is utilized at micro level.
Meanwhile, a two-day workshop of Youth Congress is going to kick-off on Tuesday.
