Ahmedabad, 29 November 2012
Kheda district BJP President Bimal Shah today resigned from BJP.
Bimal Shah was denied ticket on Kapadvanj seat.
Shah had lost the election on this seat in 2007. He was active in party organization later on.
The party declared Kanubhai Dabhi as candidate on Kapadvanj seat yesterday.
Bimal Shah’s supporters had given strike call in Kapadvanj today against party’s decision.
Bimal Shah was minister of state in Keshubhai Patel government. His image was not clean however and was considered a corrupt minister.
He was considered as Keshubhai loyalist who later joined Modi’s camp.
Shah had worked hard for party’s victory in Kathlal by-poll.
Shah may join Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP).
