Impact fee scheme further extended, Jantri rates slashed(Video)

Gujarat government has extended the last date of submitting forms for the impact fee scheme by six months. This decision was taken in a high level meeting attended by state Revenue minister and others.

In view of the poor response to Impact fee notification, the state government has cut down the jantri rates for the second time. The new rates are:

A new notification under the Gujarat Regularization of Unauthorized Development Act, 2011

New final date of application is declared as 19 August 2013.

-Up to 50 sq m total built up Rs 2,000 fee
-50 to 100 sq m total built up Rs 4,000 fee
-100 to 200 sq m total built up Rs 8,000 fee
-200 to 300 sq m total built up Rs 12,000 fee
-More than 300 sq m total built up Rs 12000 – and above 300 sq m ever sq m for Rs 100

-Double rates in the cases of purpose change, commercial area and industrial activity.

-To regularize illegal construction on common plot, if all concerned owners and occupiers are agreed, the rates would be as prescribed above if there’s no commercial or industrial activity taking place.

-The cases in which provision of sanitation is not maintained well, additional Rs 5,000 will be levied.

-10% rate of Jantri will be levied in the cases of missing parking in residential use
-20% rate of Jantri will be levied in the cases of missing parking in non-residential category

There are around 1.2 million illegal units in the state.
