Nitin Patel leaves for South Africa, Bokhiria to attend cabinet meeting

A delegation of Finance Ministers of various states of India is going to South Africa on 10-day visit to study Goods and Service Tax(GST) study. Gujarat Finance Minister Shri Nitin Patel and Commercial Tax Commissioner Haribhai Patel are part of this delegation. Nitin and Haribhai Patel left for South Africa on Tuesday night. The delegation is led by central minister of state for Finance and union Finance secretary. Shri Nitin Patel is member of empowered committee on implementation of GST which would replace present system of Value Added Tax(VAT).
Patel might have taken tips for South Africa from Rajkot BJP leaders Vijaybhai Rupani and Bhanderi who enjoyed a vacation in South Africa recently.
Bokhiria to rejoin cabinet meeting
Water resources minister Bokhiria is all set to attend the state cabinet meeting today afternoon. Bokhiria was given three years jail term in illegal mining scam by a local court in Porbandar. However he was given bail immediately, and later the upper court stayed sentence. Bokhiria stayed away from his office and cabinet meeting for a month or so. Now after the upper court order, he is all set to attend cabinet meeting today. He rejoined his office yesterday and also attended a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Modi on SIRs.
