P.P.Pandey hospitalized, appears in court on stretcher, gets anticipatory bail till 31st(Video)

IPS officer, PP Pandey has been admitted to Ahmedabad’s Shahibag based private hospital. He is reportedly suffering from high diabetes, chest pain, kidney and urine problem and fever. Pandey has to appear before the CBI court in Ahmedabad today as per the Supreme Court order in which he has been asked to appear before the court today. The court functions till 5.00 pm. Pandey

According to Dr. Roopkumar Agrawal of Chandramani hospital where Shri Pandey is undergoing treatment, Shri Pandey wishes to attend the court, to respect the Supreme Court order. Dr. Roopkumar said if Pandey’s temperature(102 presently) normalizes in hour or two, he would be taken to court in ambulance.

As per the legal experts, alternatively, magistrate may visit the hospital. Dr. Roopkumar also informed the media that Shri Pandey was admitted to hospital yesterday at 11.00 am. He was first admitted to Intensive care unit(ICU), and later taken to normal ward.

After being untraced for several months, top cop Pandey attended his office in Police bhawan in Gandhinagar on Saturday. The senior police officer was absent from office since February when the CBI had called him for questioning in the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case.

Till date seven policemen have been arrested in the Ishrat case, five of whom are now out of prison, having got default bail.

UPDATE

Shri P.P. Pandey was taken to CBI court in ambulance. He entered the court building lying on stretcher. His eyes were closed and he was accompanied with medical staff.

Update:

The court has given anticipatory bail to P.P.Pandey on his plea for the same. He has been given anticipatory bail till 31st of July.
