Will not contest next Lok Sabha poll: Dinsha Patel says it again

The only union cabinet minister from Gujarat in UPA-2, Dinsha Patel today again said that he would not contest the next Lok Sabha election.
Dinsha said this during his talk to media persons in Nadiad where he was attending a blood-donation camp on the occasion of Congress party’s foundation day.
Dinsha said he had already conveyed his wish to party leadership in Delhi. He said he doesn’t want to contest again due to poor health. He said he would continue to stay in Congress party and support any other candidate selected by his party to contest from Kheda.
Dinsha won last Lok Sabha elections from Kheda seat in central Gujarat by thin margin.
Reacting to Dinsha’s today’s statement, Gujarat Congress president Shri Arjun Modhwadia said that Dinsha had conveyed his with to party’s state and central leadership six months back. He would finally obey the decision of Congress president smt Sonia Gandhi.
It is beleived that central leadership may appoint Dinsha or Siddharth Patel as state party chief to attract Patel voters to its fold.
