Manmohan Singh’s brother joins BJP in presence of Modi

Daljeet Singh Kohli, Brother of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on Friday joined the BJP at the presence of party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi at an election rally in Amritsar.
Welcoming Mr. Singh to BJP, Shri Narendra Modi said: Dr. Manmohan Singh’s brother has joined BJP and this will increase our strength. I welcome him to the BJP.This is not a party only of membership but of relationship. We will form a close relationship.
Punjab Chief Minister Shri Parkash Singh Badal also welcomed Mr. Singh to BJP.
On Manmohan Singh’s Ahmedabad visit
Dr. Manmohan Singh is scheduled to visit Ahmedabad on 27 April to address intellectuals and entrepreneurs for Congress campaign. A special helipad has been constructed at GMDC ground which is located just next to the Gujarat University Convention Centre where Dr. Singh’s programme is scheduled to take place. However as per the latest reports, Dr. Singh’s health is not well, and he may drop his visit to Ahmedabad.
