Those cops jailed in various encounter cases selectively must be happy today. Two IPS officers Satish Verma(who assisted CBI in Ishrat encounte case and himself is facing encounter cases) and Rajnish Rai( who arrested IPS officers DG Vanzara and Rajkumar Pandian in encounter cases)are posted in Meghalaya and Jharkhand respectively.

Both seemed favorite of then Congress-led UPA government and were obviously not in good terms with the state government and when Congress was in power in centre, they demanded central deputation, but BJP ruled Gujarat government cleared their applications just last month when BJP came to power in centre.

On Friday, the Department of Personnel and Training(DiP&T) passed the order on their deputation. Satish Verma has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer(CVO) in North-Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited(NEEPCO) in Shillong under the administrative control of Ministry of Power. Rajnish Rai has been appointed CVO in Uranium Corporation of India Limited, Jadugoda(Jharkhand), under the administrative control of Department of Atomic Energy on initial period of three years.
