Gandhinagar, 17 September 2014
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited his mother Hiraba at younger brother Pankaj Modi’s quarter in capital Gandhinagar. Modi visits his mother every year on his birthday but today’s visit was a special one as Modi has now become India’s Prime Minister and therefore security arrangements were unprecedented in entire sector-22. Modi’s arrival path was cordoned off with barricades and CCTV cameras were installed at the location.
Mother Hiraba talked to her son, offered him sweet, gave blessings and handed over Rs. 5,001 for Jammu & Kashmir flood relief on this occasion. Modi left his family and became RSS pracharak.
Meanwhile, Indian President Mukherjee, Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe among others have conveyed their wishes on Narendrabhai’s 64th birthday.
