If you looked at it properly, the Gujarati new year Sun-rise in Ahmedabad and many other parts of Gujarat was mixed with clouds.

Just have a look at the satellite picture attached to this article and you may have an idea about why it was so.

In fact some parts of Gujarat are still cloudy, and as per the Weather Forecast Bulletin for Gujarat state issued by Meteorological Centre, Ahmedabad, there are chances of moderate to light rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region, Saurashtra and in Diu, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

Weather bulletin adds that weather will be mainly sunny in the districts of North Gujarat region and Kutch district upto 27 October.
