UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon to attend Vibrant Gujarat Summit:GoG

Gujarat government today officially announced that United Nations General Secretary Ban Ki Moon will be attending the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2015.
In a statement issued to media, the government said: “The upcoming summit will see the participation of several distinguished through leaders from around the world, it is matter of great privilege that Mr. Ban Ki Moon, the eight and current Secretary General of the United Nations, has confirmed his acceptance of the invitation for the 7th edition of the summit. ”
“Before being elected the Secretary General of the UN succeeding Kofi Annan, BanKi Moon was a career diplomat at South Africa’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and as his first overseas mission, his country of assignment was India. Besides being, a diplomat, Ban Ki Moon has also served as the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea from 2004 to 2006.”
It is learnt that Ban Ki Moon will also visit Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram during his visit to Gujarat.
