Union Shipping minister Nitin Gadkari is likely to visit Kandla port on February 10 in Gujarat. He will inaugurate Tuna port of Kandla Port Trust(KPT) which has been developed in public private partnership. Gadkari is likely to arrive in Gujarat to attend wedding of BJP national president Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah on 10 February. KPT and Adani are trying to fix his visit to Kandla port on same day.
Four ‘T’ shape jetty of KPT, developed in partnership with Adani group are ready since last December. In past, an attempt was made to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate this facility during his Gujarat visit, however things couldn’t be materialized. As per the sources, Gadkari may inaugurate new jetty in the morning on 10 February before leaving for Amit Shah’s son’s wedding in Ahmedabad, if everything goes on as per plan.
