Ahmedabad-Delhi rail journey to become speedier

Ahmedabad-Delhi rail journey will become faster in next two-three years due to electrification and double track works that are underway at present. Once the works are completed the journey between two cities will be less time consuming by 2 hours. On 960 km long Ahmedabad-Delhi rail track, the double track works are completed on Delhi-Jaipur section while works on Jaipur-Abu road and Ahmedabad-Abu road sections are in progress. Electrification works of railway line on this route is in progress at possible cost of Rs. 2 crore/km.
