Gujarat Tourists in 2 tours from Ahmedabad safe in Nepal: Relief Commissioner

Relief Commissioner of Gujarat government Mr. Pandey today said that Gujarat government control room on Nepal earthquake has received several calls on Gujaratis stranded in Nepal.He said whatever details are received on Gujaratis stranded in Nepal are forwarded to Indian embassy in Nepal through email.
Pandey said state Transport Commissioner has been asked to check which travel tours to Nepal originating from Gujarat have been permitted by his department.
He said details on two tours have been arrived. Among them one tour contains 20 tourists while other contains 35 tourists from Gujarat, and all tourists are safe.
Pandey said other scattered details are also coming in through helpline number.
Pandey said the communication network is failed in Nepal at present. Similarly the transportation is also on halt.
He said Gujarat government nodal officer Damor is camping in Kathmandu and he has been instructed to stay in touch with Indian embassy.
