– BJP’s Godhra district Bakshi Panch(OBC) Morcha president held by Anti Corruption Bureau in disproportionate asset case. BJP leader was working in Jamin Vikas Nigam when allegations of corruption were made against him. Later he took voluntary retirement and became BJP OBC cell chief of district.

– Two days long Chintan Shibir of Gujarat BJP’s top team begins today. The shibir will discuss organizational issues and upcoming elections of panchayats and municipalities/municipal corporations. It is being held at Palsana in Surat.

– A woman and her two daughters are rescued by Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services in Sabarmati river near Sardar bridge from suicide attempt. They have been taken to VS hospital for treatment.

– State Parliamentary Secretary(Junior Minister status) and BJP MLA Shamji Chauhan’s daughter in law has committed suicide in Rajkot. Gitaben committed suicide yesterday late in night. She is wife of Shamjibhai’s son Vishwajeet. Wedding of Gitaben and Vishwajeet took place one and half year ago.

– Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Mufti Mohammad Saeed today held a press conference in Ahmedabad. He said people of Kashmir are in favor of Amarnath Yatra. He said his government wishes to bring back Kashmri Pandit back to Kashmir. He said the attempts in this regard have not been successful in the past since 1990. He said one who waves Pakistan flag attracts publicity. Any person doing this will attract punishment.

– Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s wife Jashodaben today visited Karmayogi Bhavan in Gandhinagar and sought details about the order under which she has been given protection. This was her second appeal as per Right to Information(RTI) law. She was not satisfied with the reply to her RTI by information officer and went to first appeal. Again not satisfied with the reply, she today filed second appeal. Speaking to media persons she said she wants her legal right.

– Rajkot Bandh call given by Congress party and Zupadpatti Mahaparishad evoked extremely poor response today. Few Congress workers started attempts to make bandh successful in the morning but they didn’t get any response. Congress and Zupadpatti Mahaparishad oppose Rajkot Municipal Corporation’s endeavor to replace slum areas with modern buildings under public private partnership model.

– Krushi Bhavan in capital Gandhinagar caught fire today. It was controlled by fire brigade.
