Ahmedabad Police Crime Branch had arrested one Muhammad Irfan alias Bala Babubhai Shahfakir(24) with 49 crude bombs on 3rd June. He was taken on 10 days police remand during which he pointed out that the mastermind behind these bombs was Ezaz Ahmed alias Samir alias Anno alias Altaf alias Muhammadhanif alias Badruddin Mirza who lives in Dariapur and near Sarkhej Ambar tower in Juhapura.

Crime Branch held Ezaz when he was on way to Mumbai from Ahmedabad’s Maninagar railway station.

Ezaz told police that he had taken Rs 3 lakh from Zakir and Jahangir who were his friends. Now they were demanding the money back. To trap them in fake criminal case, he made crude bombs with help of his friend Pyarali at Pyarali’s house in Juhapura-Sarkhej. The bombs were given to Irfan to keep them safe. One of 50 bombs was tested near canal in Sarkhej area during night while other 49 bombs were given to Irfan.However during Shaberat patrolling, Crime Branch held Irfan late in the night with bombs and entire plan failed.
