PVR opens its biggest 1,239-seat multiplex in Vadodara, Gujarat

PVR has opened its 106th Multiplex today at VED Trans Cube Plaza, Vadodara, Gujarat.
The theatre complex will support 3D technology with 7.1 audio, and offers a “wide range of food options”.
Spread across an area of 49,600 sq ft, the multiplex is equipped with a seating capacity of 1,239 seats, the cinema company said.
The property will have 7 screens and PVR will now have 48 screens in Gujarat alone. It has 11 properties in the state in the cities of Ahmedabad, Surat, Gandhinagar and now the third property in Vadodara.
“With the opening of this Multiplex at “VED Trans Cube Plaza, Vadodara”, the total screens count has gone upto 474 Screens at 106 Locations across 43 Cities in 15 States and 1 Union Territory,” PVR said.
“The opening of this prestigious Cinema is a part of PVR’s organic growth strategy of PAN India expansion and increasing its presence in major cities.”
“Vadodara being the third most populated city of Gujarat, has a wider audience with huge interest in watching world-class cinema at the best state of art facilities,” said Gautam Dutta, CEO, PVR Ltd.

The newly launched cinema has a “unique and contemporary design of Bollywood artwork and décor.”
“Besides recliner seats in the auditoriums and wide range of F&B options, the cinema also offers an exceptional digital movie experience, 7.1 channel sound and 3D enabled screens to its patrons. With this launch, PVR reaches a total count of 474 screens in 106 properties across 43 cities,” the company said.
