Israel for 3 centre of excellence in Gujarat, invites CM to Tel Aviv in October

Israel is extending its cooperation in the field of Agriculture to India. As part of this, it is going to set up 28 centres of excellence in India, 3 of which planned in Gujarat. While one such centre will come up in Gandhinagar for horticulture and vegetables, the other would come up in Talala for Kesar variety of mango. The third centre will be set up in Kutch.
These details were shared by Matan Zamir, Deputy Chief of Mission of Israel in Mumbai during his visit to Vadodara.
He said Israel is going to organise a workshop in Ahmedabad on August 7 on efficient use of water in industries. Professor Yoram Orum from Israel will fly to Gujarat to address this workshop. Industries in pharma, paper, chemicals, food need high volume of water. Israel experience of efficient water usage will be shared with them.
He said Gujarat Chief Minister has been invited by Israel to participate in water conference scheduled to be held in Israel in October this year.
