25 Patels arrested for public meeting without permission

Police today arrested 25 people including three women for participating in a meeting of Patidar Anamat Aandolan Samiti in Nananpur village of Sabarkantha district.
SP Sabarkantha Parvin Mal said that the 25 nabbed today were part of around 3000 people who had participated in the meeting which was held yesterday despite refusal of official permission. ‘Three women nabbed today were released on bail by a local court. The remaining 22 were still in police custody. They all were booked under section 188 of the IPC,’ Mr. Mal said adding PAAS convener Hardik Patel’s close aides Chirag Patel and Dinesh Patel have also been booked for participating in the meeting.
Hardik did not participate in the meeting owing to said illness. Police had booked 3000 people in Prantij police station.
