FICCI Ladies Organization today launched ‘Swayam’, a support cell to encourage and support women entrepreneurs in presence of Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai, Chairman India Director, HSBC Asia Pacific in Ahmedabad. On this occasion, a book edited by Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai, “30 Women in Power” was also been launched. A panel discussion was held with Tata Starbucks, Ms. Mirai Chatterjee, Social Worker & Coordinator, SEWA and Ms. Anjali Bansal, Partner & MD, TPG Growth. They are one of the 30 women she has written about in the book.

Swayam will be a cell for women entrepreneurs seeking support for nurturing, setting up and managing their business. Swayam will direct these women with the best and relevant resources available to add to their awareness through mentoring, guiding and assisting them into new small and big business ventures.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Deepa Shah, Chairperson, FLO said, “Launch of Swayam – A support cell for women entrepreneurs by a dynamic lady like Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai itself is motivational who is the first Indian woman to graduate from Harvard Business School and the first woman to lead a foreign bank in India. I believe women have all the wherewithals to do wonders and achieve milestones but need to channelize their efforts & strengths. We have received great response from both men & women who are experts in their respective fields in the form of honorary and professional panelists Cell Swayam is a great beginning and well received by all in society. I am glad that cell Swayam is blessed with most powerful women of India today.”
