– A group of villagers in Valarda village of Babra belt of Saurashtra claimed that Patidars from a group of five villages in this belt will stop supply of vegetables, milk and other produces to urban locations as protest.

– Dhari MLA Nalin Kotadiya, a Patidar caste fundamentalist elected from former political party led by Keshubhai Patel today said that Patidars will leave Hindu faith and covert in mass to other religion if their demands are not accepted by government.

– Police today nabbed two of the three youths of Tenpur village in Bayad Taluka of Arvalli district who had threatened to commit suicide by self immolation in front of the Gujarat Assembly if the state government did not honorably set free their leader Hardik Patel and four other core members of Patidar Anamat Aandolan Samiti (PAAS) arrested under charges of sedition. The three youth of Patidar community Bharat Patel, Vijay Patel and Pratik Patel, from Tenpur village of Aravali district, in a memorandum to the collector, left in the Mamlatdar office of Bayad, had warned the state government that if the cases of sedition were not withdrawn and Hardik, Dinesh Patel, Chirag Patel, Ketan Patel and Nilesh Ervadiaya were not set free by October 29, they would immolate in front the state legislative assembly. Mamlatdar Bayad P D Makwana today said that Pratik and Vijay have been arrested and produced before him while the efforts to nab their third aide was on.

– Congress party joined by Hardik Patel led Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti(PAAS) today organized a rally from Tankara in Morbi district of Saurashtra region seeking withdrawal of police cases against Patel caste people in connection with the violence during Patidar agitation. Police stopped the rally at Latipur cross roads as it was organized without taking police permission.

– Due to recent incidents of burning of State Transport(ST) buses by Patidar agitators during the night, Gujarat State Transport Corporation(GSRTC) had stopped bus transportation in Morbi belt which has been now resumed with protection of police piloting. Some buses are operated together with police piloting for protection. Police has arrested one Sanjay Patel from Patidar agitation in case pertaining of torching ST bus in Morbi.

– During the police remand, Hardik Patel aide Dinesh Patel told Crime Branch that his friend Raju Umrethiya had five smart phones, of which two were used by Hardik and 2 other by Dinesh himself for agitation. Police has started probing into this. Mobile phones are likely to be sent to Forensic Science Laboratory(FSL) tomorrow.

– Dr PC Patel from Mahesana who claims to be the original ideator of reservation to Patidar community will contest election from Mahesana. He will be supported by Sardar Patel Group, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti(PAAS).

– Gujarat Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki and former state party president Siddharth Patel today in presence of media inducted Botad taluka panchayat president CB Patel, BJP vice president Dineshbhai Dalsaniya, Diamond Association president Shankarbhai Patel and other leaders into Congress party. Botad district Congress president DM Patel was present during the induction ceremony. Congress is trying to woo Patels by moving Siddharth Patel and other Patel leaders of party to pockets of Patel populated areas across Gujarat. Those who left BJP to join Congress today from Botad are from Patel community.
