More figures on Municipal Corporation elections in Gujarat

Ahmedabad
The State Election Commission(SEC) of Gujarat has shared figures of tomorrow’s polling in six municipal corporations. Nearly one crore voters will be able to cast their vote. In last two civic polls( in year 2005 and 2010 ) voting percentage was below 45%.

1981 booths are marked as very sensitive while 4,984 are marked as sensitive. 5,526 polling stations are in normal category. In total there are 12,491 polling booths. For peaceful polling, 95,000 police men, 71 companies of central armed police force with over 100 State Reserve Police(SRP) companies are available for free and fair polling. Over 2,20,000 employees are involevd polling process.
