Ahmedabad
Gujarat Congress president Bharatsinh Solanki today congratulated the party workers for gaining control of 21 district panchayats and over 124 taluka panchayats where elections for the post of president and vice president concluded today with Congress candidates’ victory.
Solanki alleged that Collectors of Devbhumi Dwarka and Dahod districts behaved in unconstitutional manner by suspending the election for the post of president and vice president of district panchyats, though majority was with Congress. The collectors have harmed democracy by dropping the election procedure s per direction by ruling BJP government. Congress party will fight this unconstitutional decision, Solanki added.
