Gujarat CM to launch Metro rail works in Ahmedabad-West this Sunday

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will launch the works for Ahmedabad Metro Rail project’s North – South corridor (line-2) on Sunday, January 17th near Jivraj Park cross roads on 132 ft ring road at Vejalpur, Ahmedabad(west).
It should be mentioned that at present the Metro project ground work of erecting pillars is going on at Vastral Gam – Apparel Park Depot stretch in east Ahmedabad.
It is understood that in western part of the city, the works will kick off on APMC(Vishala) – Jivraj Park – Rajiv Nagar – Shreyas crossing – Paldi stretch.
Contrary to Vastral – Apparel Park stretch in east Ahmedabad, this stretch in west Ahmdabad involves some acquisition related issues that are presently in court.
