Rs 6080 crore budget of AMC for financial year 2016-17

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation today announced its Rs 6080 crore final budget for financial year 2016-17. Optical fiber network, restoration of Ellis bridge, flyovers at Viratngar cross roads and Naroda railway crossing, amusement park through public private partnership in east area, widening of Naranpura railway crossing, widening of Sarangpura and Sabarmati flyovers by adding extra lanes, women’s hospital in eastern part of city, Dafnala circle, Dariyapur circle, Avkar hall circle development, rain forest theme based garden at Pirana, children park and playground in Shahibaug, increased budget(Rs 21 lakh) for Councillors, underpass at Jalaram Mandir railway crossing, flyover at Narol junction(NHAI), kidney dialysis and MRO center in east Ahmedabad, decorative lighting on heritage buildings, foot over bridge connecting railway station, know your Councillor mobile app, new bore-wells, Sabarmati river front part – 2, part plot development in Juhapura are some of the highlights of the budget.
