Gujarat Budget: Luxury cars and two wheelers, e-commerce goods, pan masala to be costlier

Gujarat government has in its annual budget today granted total tax waiver to bamboo and bamboo articles, pedal rickshaw and cycle rickshaw, mosquito net, sanitary napkin, adult diapers and frozen semen. Relief has been given to hotels and private hospitals(10 or more bed) in electric duty rates. Tax on ceramic products has been reduced.
Share brokers with registered office in GIFT city and trading at same place will get waiver from stamp duty.
Tax on pan masala, luxury two wheelers costing over Rs 2.50 lakh and luxury cars(SUV) coasting over Rs 15 lakh and industrial salt has been increased.
E-commerce goods will attract entry tax to give protection to local market. Government will add Rs 30 crore revenue annually due to this.
