Guv inaugurates Rs 30 crore Vivek Vocational Training Center for tribals

Governor of Gujarat Shri O.P. Kohli today inaugurated Rs 30 crore Vivek Vocational Training Center which has been set up at Paldi village of Vaghodia taluka for skill enhancement training to tribal students under public private partnership(PPP) model.
Tribal department in Gujarat has under Vanbandhu Kalyan Yoajana planned to offer skill oriented training to youths in various areas in order to make them capable for employment.
As many as 400 tribal students are taking free skill development training at present in Vivek Vocational Training Centre by participating in 14 progammes.
The organization is going to train 9,000 youths for skill development in next seven years. So far the organization has been successful to ensure employment to 2500 tribal youths.
Governor Shri Kohli admired Shroff Foundation’s cooperation in direction of welfare of tribal people.He said Vivek Vocational Training Centre is not just providing training to youths for skill but also making good citizens to build the nation as per Shri Vivekananda’s thoughts and ideals which is worth admiring.
Swami Jitatmandanji, Shroff Foudnation’s Trusti Shrutiben Shrof, CEO of organization Shri Vikas Vaje among others were present on this occasion.
