Decisions taken in annual meeting of Dwarkadish Temple Management Committee

A meeting of Dwarkadhish Temple Management Committee was held recently at Dwarka for approval of its annual budget and discussion on future projects.
The meeting was chaired by district collector and head of Temple Management Committee Shri H.K. Patel and was attended by Rajya Sabha MP and vice president of Committee Shri Parimal Nathwani.
Surplus budget of 2016-17 passed in this meeting involves Rs 2 crore 70 lakh revenue and Rs 1 crore 60 lakh crore expenditure.
The committee in its meeting gave approval to tender bid of Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) for live telecast of Dwarkadhish Darshan through DTH and online streaming.
Another decision taken was about conducting feasibility study for erecting automatic escalator at Chhappan sidi site at main entrance of Dwarkadhish temple.
Decisions were taken to appoint a retired officer as full time administrator and to seek government nod for this. Decisions were also taken to appoint liaison officer and public relation officer.
District Superintendent of Police, Devbhumi Dwarka has sought fund to install seven metal detectors at the entry points of Mandir. The meeting finalized a decision to grant Rs 5 lakh for this purpose.
Discussion also took place in this meeting to deploy private security agency guards.
Rs 4 crore first phase development works that are going to take place for development of Jagatmandir fourcourt, vegetable market chowk, ISKCON gate to Jagat Mandir stretch, Siddhnath chowk, Tran Batti chowk to Jagat Mandir stretch out of total Rs 20 crore project under central government’s HRIDAY scheme were discussed in this meeting.
