Health of ailing BAPS Pramukh Swami stable, gradually improving: Sarangpur Mandir

Sarangpur (Botad): The condition of the head of the Boachasanvasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha(BAPS) Pramukh Swami(95) is improving, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir of Sarangpur today said.

A spokesperson of the Mandir situated in Sarangpur under Barvala taluka of Botad district of Gujarat, where the around 95 year old saint who was suffering from infection in chest for past around a week’s time, said that his condition was improving after treatment.

A team of doctors from Ahmedabad including senior physician of BAPS Yogiji Maharaj Hospital in Ahmedabad, Dr, Brajlal Patel is taking care of the saint, among whose long list of fans and followers was also the late former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam who had visited him for a book launch here some time before his (Dr Kalam’s) death.

The spokesperson claimed that the saint was never put on life support system. ‘His condition is improving, he was never on life support system as such,’ he said.

Meanwhile the old sage reportedly refused to leave the temple premises even when his condition deteriorated. Owing to this a team of doctors had to come here a week ago to see the ailing saint.

Sarangpur Mandir is place of Pramukh Swami’s Guru Sashtriji Maharaj.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Health Is Stable

Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, has for some time been resting in Sarangpur receiving treatment under the care of (expert) doctors for a chest infection. The news that he has been placed on a ventilator or life-support machine is not true. His health is stable. Due to his advanced age of 95 years and physical weakness his health improvement is gradual.

At present no darshan is possible. Darshan will be arranged when his health permits.

પરમ પૂજ્ય પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજને છેલ્લા કેટલાક સમયથી છાતીમાં ઇન્ફેક્શન થયું હોવાથી તેઓ તબીબોની સારવાર હેઠળ તીર્થધામ સારંગપુરમાં વિશ્રામ લઈ રહ્યા છે. તેઓને વેન્ટિલેટર કે લાઈફ સપોર્ટ મશીન પર રાખવામાં આવ્યાના સમાચારમાં તથ્ય નથી. તેઓનું સ્વાસ્થ્ય સંતુલિત છે. ૯૫ વર્ષની ઉંમર અને શારીરિક દુર્બળતાને કારણે તેમનું સ્વાસ્થ્ય ધીમે ધીમે સુધરી રહ્યું છે.

હાલમાં તેઓનાં દર્શન થઈ શકશે નહીં. સ્વાસ્થ્યની અનુકૂળતા થશે ત્યારે તેઓનાં દર્શનનો લાભ મળી શકશે.
