Kashmir unrest: Shikara industry faces whopping loss

Srinagar: The dwellers of Dal Lake, which plays a key role to boost the tourism industry, is facing crunch due to curfew. The present situation has damaged the economy of Kashmir which has hit the Shikara business badly. Houseboat and Shikara owners are suffering huge losses. President of House Boat Owners Association Gulam Rasool Siah said it was the duty of both state and Centre government to take some steps to resolve the Kashmir issue for the sake of people as well the economy of Jammu and Kashmir.
