Ahmedabad: Dinnerbell sealed after stapler pin in food injures customer, Das Khaman sealed for cockroaches in food

Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has sealed Dinnerbell restaurant in Memnagar area after stapler pin was in food dish catered to a woman customer caused her mouth injury. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon. After collecting samples, AMC team sealed the restaurant at midnight on Saturday.
In another development, Das Khaman outlet has been slapped with fine of Rs 50,000 after cockroaches were found out in one of the dish catered during the meeting of health officers at Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) premises. The officers had ordered sandwich dhokla from Das Khaman outlet which is located near the AMC headquarters. Cockroaches were found in 4 out of 25 dishes of sandwich dhokla catered. The outlet was immediately sealed. AMC official later permitted to open the seal for pest control treatment. The outlet will be sealed again after pest control treatment is over.
