Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has taken a decision to allow 1 kw roof top solar power plant in residential areas even for less than 2 kW load.

As per a statement issued by department of energy, Government of Gujarat, most of the consumers were not able to avail benefit of the roof top solar scheme due to existing rule which has been changed now.

The statement states that roof top solar plant capacity should not be higher than 100% of section load. It means consumers will be permitted for minimum 1 kw section load increase.
