Fawad Khan chooses to leave India rather than condemning Uri terror attack
September 27, 2016
Mumbai: He could simply post a tweet condemning terror attack on Uri Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir state of India in which 18 Army jawans were killed. However Fawad Khan, a Pakistani actor working in India choose to leave India silently rather than condemning the terror attack on India.
Fawad Khan left India and returned to Pakistan after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) gave a 48-hour ultimatum to leave their country following Uri terror attack.MNS has also threatened that Fawad Khan’s next release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ won’t be released in India.
While MNS is smaller political party, and it has been criticized by majority of Indians for its acts in the past, large number of people believe that in this issue it is not entirely wrong.
According to Hindustan Times, Fawad Khan has halted plans of a premature return and will stay in Pakistan until the situation in under control. (Also read Dunya News, Indian Express, Times of India reports)
Fawad Khan has in the past through his twitter account(which is not verified yet) posted tweets regarding Paris attack, gulshan-e-iqbal attack and Amjad Sabri murder, but even after loud debates seeking to know his stand on terror attack on India, he has remained silent and choose to leave India instead of criticizing terror attack.
Extremely shocked and deeply saddened by the brutal murder of Amjad Sabri. My heart felt condolences to his family.

Meanwhile ‘India Today’ quoting a source from Dharma Productions reported that Fawad left India long ago in July because his wife is about to deliver their second child in September. Karan Johar of Dharma production is trying to cooling down the issue for last some time as business of his upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is likely to be impacted due to anger against Pakistani actors working in India. The film which is scheduled to release on Diwali stars Fawad Khan along with Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma.
