Complain against Navsarjan Trust; minister asks Amreli police to look into

Gandhinagar: Social Justice and Empowerment minister Atmaram Parmar has recommended Amreli district police chief to look into the complain against Martin Macwan led foreign-funded Navsarjan Trust.
The minister has acted after he received complain from Amreli District Dalit Adhikar Ladat Samiti’s Ravjibhai Madhad claiming that Navsarjan Trust has siphoned off crores of Rupees fund raised in name of Dalits.
The report says Ravjibhai has also given some evidences in his complain in which he has said that Navsarjan manages to get crores of Rupees of foreign fund. It had also received Rs 30 crore foreign fund post Kutch earthquake. Trust had started its project offices in Amreli, Babra and Lathi talukas in which Rs 1.5 lakh sum was approved in year 2000. Rs 17,000 amount was promised as interest for education fund. Ravjibhai was one of field workers who was not paid promised amount and relieved from work. As many as 250 small workers across 11 district had started fast in protest at Nani Devti village to get the money they were promised. Some workers were given Rs 1.5 lakh as compromise amount but others were not. A police complaint was filed in Amreli. Even the Gujarat High Court had ordered probe.
