Pakistani cinemas suspend Indian movie shows for September/October

Lahore: Pakistani cinemas have been directed to not exhibit any Indian movie in September and October. On the other hand, the importers have decided to not take rights of Hindi movies.
Bollywood movie MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is due to release on September 30 but because of strained relations, its display has been suspended in Pakistan. Karan Johar film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will also not be released in Pakistan, a local daily reported.
Prominent artists and filmmakers from Pakistani film industry have decided to launch protest campaign against the exhibition of Indian films. A meeting in this regard was held in Pakistan film distribution association chairman Chaudhry Aijaz Kamran’s office which was attended by various renowned artists which include Mustafa Qureshi, Abid Ali and Ghulam Mohiuddin.
