Girnar ropeway construction likely to start in September

Junagadh: Construction work for Girnar ropeway project is likely to kick off by upcoming August/September. The construction work will take one-year period. If everything goes as per schedule, the ropeway will be functional next year.
After all permissions are obtained, Usha Brecko company which also operates ropeways at Ambaji and Pavagadh in Gujarat has recently completed the last survey which took six days. The places for erection of towers, upper station, lower station, cable line route etc were finalized during the survey which also was participated by supplier company representatives from Austria and Czech Republic.
The survey team also held meeting with district collector of Junagadh Dr. Rahul Gupta and briefed him about the progress of ropeway project.
Girnar is the tallest mountain of Gujarat. Girnar ropeway once functional will lift thousands of pilgrims from Bhavnath taleti to Ambaji temple portion of Girnar mountain.
