Gujarat polls, contest between anarchist, divisive forces on one side and stability, growth and progress on the other: Jaitley

Union Finance Minister and election in-charge of ruling BJP in Gujarat Arun Jaitley today said that the polls in the state this time around was a contest between anarchist and divisive forces on one side and BJP representing stability, growth and progress on the other.
Clearing the air of uncertainty about the winter session of the parliament, he also said that the winter session of the parliament would be held for sure and it had been in the past during Congress governments also rescheduled owing to elections.
Jaitley who was here to attend the nomination filing event of CM Vijay Rupani later told newsmen that during the around two and a half decade of its rule in Gujarat, BJP has made it a symbol of development and put it on the world map.
Replying to a query about the PAAS-Congress alliance, Jaitley termed it an anarchist alliance with an intention to push the state in to anarchy.
He said, ‘This time the forces standing before us were trying to divide Gujarat by dividing its people and symbolizes anarchy. The polls in the state this time around was a contest between anarchy and divisive forces on one side and BJP representing stability, growth and progress on the other
He expressed confidence that the BJP would win a large number of seats this time as well.
To a query he also said that Congress led UPA in its 10 years of rule from 2004 to 2014 had given the most corrupt government to the country while Narendra Modi has given the most honest government. ‘Congress can not turn this truth in to lie forcefully,’ he said.
He also said that the winter session of the Parliament would be held for sure this time around also. ‘Owing to elections the sessions of the parliament have been rescheduled in the past. The Congress government in the past had itself done so and it was done in 2011 also,’ he said.
