Jasdan/Botad: More Congress leaders have joined BJP in last two days. At Bardoli, State Congress vice president and former local MLA Pravin Rathod has joined BJP in presence of party’s national president Amit Shah.

At Botad, the district Congress spokesperson and senior Congress leader Labhubhai Pati joined BJP to strengthen the chances of victory of BJP candidate Saurabh Patel. Labhubhai was upset by Congress decision to give ticket to DM Patel on Botad seat.

At Jasdan, senior Congress leader Dhiraj Shingala who belongs to Patidar community joined BJP in presence of MoS in Centre Mansukjh Mandavia and BJP candidate Bharat Boghra. Shingala is from Meghpar in Jasdan. He is active in Congress party for last three decades. He had sought Congress ticket but he was denied it as Congress would obviously field its top Koli leader and former MP Kunvarji Bavalia here. Patidar community ha second largest presence in Jasdan area. BJP is hoping to gain from this induction.

Congress Councillor in Jamnagar Atul Bhanderi has also joined BJP today.

There are reports from Bhuj where few hundred Congress cadres have joined BJP.
