Rupani meets Railway Minister in Delhi, demands extension of Delhi – Ahmedabad Rajdhani train to Rajkot

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani held a meeting with union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in the evening on Monday and discussed various issues related to Railways in Gujarat.
According to a statement issued by the State government, the meeting continued for 30 minutes around. It was a review meeting with special focus on bullet train, Gandhinagar railway station reconstruction and other important issues. Senior officials of Railways were present in this meeting.
The Chief Minister conveyed his thanks to Railway minister for his nod for extension of Mumbai – Ahmedabad Duronto train to Rajkot. Rupani also sought extension of Delhi – Ahmedabad Rajdhani Express train to Rajkot. The demand was responded positively by Railway Minister, said the statement adding that the Railway Minister also asked senior officials to do necessary procedures for the same.
