Vadodara: After he made his displeasure against the ‘non-functioning’ government officials public, Savli BJP MLA Ketan Inamdar was called for a meeting by Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel in Gandhinagar. Inamdar met with Nitin Patel and got a land for Desar APMC cleared within few hours.
The government issued order for 11,944 square meter land allotment to Desar APMC(Agriculture Produce Market Committee). The department of Finance, Government of India sent a copy of order of allotment of land to Ketan Inamdar on his Whatsapp number. The land is located at few distance away from Desar APMC. Its survey number is 1229. The value of land is considered Rs 288 per square meter – in total Rs 34,39,872. 20% of this sum which comes to Rs 6,87,974 will be payable by APMC to the government. The APMC plans to build ware house and cold storage over this land.
Inamdar had also made representation over river Mahi lift irrigation project for over 30 villages of his constituency. He had said, ‘lift irrigation project file is pending with a secretary in Gandhinagar for last one and half year. When we go to meet the secretary, there’s no response. Desar APMS is ruled by BJP. Its application for land allotment is pending for last 8 months in Gandhinagar due to non-functioning and non-responsive officers.’
Along with Inamdar, another MLA who made his displeasure against ‘non-functioning’ government officials public, Madhu Shrivastav also had met Nitin Patel. MLA Yogesh Patel, the third such MLA had however avoided Nitin Patel’s call. He told media persons that he had routine heart check up scheduled on same date and therefore he was not going to meet Nitinbhai in Gandhinagar that day.
Meanwhile Nitin Patel was in Vadodara on Sunday to inaugurate Savita multi speciality hospital. In conversation with media persons he said the issue of three upset MLAs was a matter of past now. It should be mentioned here that MLAs Madhu Shrivastav and Yogesh Patel were part of this function. When media photographers started clicking Nitin Patel, he called Yogesh Patel to come closer and stand with him. Nitinbhai told Yogesh Patel, ‘it was you who came with invitation for this function. Come here and stand up with me.’
Nitinbhai on this occasion also admired Yogesh Patel for his golden Shiv statue project in Sursagar lake in Vadodara. Nitinbhai said, ‘while construction work for world’s tallest statue featuring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is near completion at Kevadia colony, another project of golden coating of Shiv statue in Sursagar lake will make this entire Central Gujarat region, attractive for tourists and visitors.’
Yogesh Patel had earlier told media persons that he was upset with the government as works were not done. He had said, ‘I asked for professorship to I.I.Pandya and made representation before the Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama repeatedly. Then a committee was formed for that and report was ready. They don’t want to disclose the report. After I made my displeasure public, state organisational general secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsania called me and state organization leader Bhargav Bhatt rushed to meet me. But this happened only after we three MLAs were all set to go on fast against the ‘non-functioning’ officers of government.’
