After no response to ‘ultimatum’, Congress backed PAAS leader Hardik Patel “gives up water-intake again”, ready for mediation by Khodaldham chairman Naresh Patel

Ahmedabad:

Congress backed PAAS leader Hardik Patel has again given up water-intake again after passage of the period of his ultimatum to the BJP government.

Hardik Patel had yesterday issued ultimatum to Gujarat government to come to him for talks in next 24 hours else he would again give up water intake.

Hardik’s aide and self proclaimed sole spokesperson of PAAS during his fast, Majoj Panara told newsmen this evening that even after completion of the ultimatum period government has not come forward and so Hardik is going to give up water again.

‘He won’t take water till government come to talks and accepts his all three demands. The government is misleading the Patidar community. It has no time for 4 crore farmers of Gujarat. Energy minister Saurabh Patel should not talk about farmer’s issues and the agriculture minister should come forward,’ he said.

He had yesterday said that Hardik would give up water again if the government did not turn up for direct talks with him at his fast venue at his Greenwood resort residence in next 24 hours. The issues would be the loan-waiver of farmers in Gujarat, Patidar reservation and release of Alpesh Kathiria in sedition case. These are the 3 issues for which Hardik is on fast since August 25.

Notably Hardik had earlier given up water for two days on August 30 and 31 (sixth and seventh day of his fast) but had started taking it again from September one.

Panara alleged that the state government has not come forward to talk to Hardik even after passage of 13 days of his fast and he had learnt from his sources that it was planning to forcefully admit him in government hospital and play with his health claiming that his vital organs had already been damaged. Our private doctors and close aides won’t leave him alone in any case.
He also hit out at BJP state president Jeetu Vaghani for calling Hardik’s fast as congress backed. He claimed that the government itself was planning to create violence in the society to book agitationists under sedition charges again.

Panara who had criticized C K Patel, the coordinator of six Patidar outfits which had initiated talks with state government for ending of Hardik’s fast also hailed the said proposal of Khodaldham trust chairman Naresh Patel to mediate on the issue. ‘He is our elder one and like father. We have not directly talked to him about if but he comes forward we will be happy. The government must invited him for resolving the issue,’ he said.
