Jasdan by-poll: Fake news alert

Jasdan: Dirty political games have started in connection with Jasdan assembly seat by-election in Gujarat. On Sunday, a Gujarati news channel, TV9 Gujarati issued clarification that an image in circulation on social media with channel’s logo is fake.
An image was created in fashion of breaking news headline on TV channel. Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani was quoted in this image as saying, ‘none should teach us how to get votes. We don’t need the votes of Kshatriyas and Kolis.’
TV9 Gujarati channel head in his tweet clarified: Beware Jasdan by-election: Fake news in circulation on social media esp. Whatsapp & Facebook. It contains fake statement referring Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, pasted on BreakingNews template of TV9. Chief Minister office has asked police cyber team to look into the matter.

Similar tricks were attempted even in the past by making fake screenshot of ABP Asmita Gujarati news channel in the past.
