No more annual renewal of Gumasta dhara licence needed, Gujarat govt decides to introduce one-time fee system

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has taken in-principle decision in direction of ease of doing business and made announcement that units registered under shop and establishment act will no more need to renew licence approval every year but will need to pay one time fee and continue to operated as permitted unit.
According to a note issued by State government, this decision will give relief from inspector raj.
One-time fee rates for commercial unit having more than 10 employees will be Rs. 500. For commercial units with lesser than 10 employees it shall be Rs. 250.
For shops having 10 or more employees it will be Rs. 500 and for shops with 10 or lesser employees it will be Rs. 250.
One time fee rate for residential hotel will be Rs. 2500, for restaurants and eateries Rs. 1,000, for cinema theatres and public entertainment places Rs. 5,000 and for establishments without any employee it will be Rs. 250.
The decision has been taken at the level of Chief Minister according to a note issued by the government.
