Gandhinagar: New in-charge of ruling BJP in Gujarat, Om Prakash Mathur today arrived here for the first time after his recent re-appointment.
66 year old Mathur, a Rajya Sabha member from neighboring Rajasthan, was also in-charge of BJP Gujarat in 2014 when during the Loksabha polls the party had won all the 26 seats.
Mathur was today accorded warm welcome by party leaders and workers on his arrival at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport here this morning.
Party’s state president and MLA Jeetu Vaghani, General Secretary K C Patel and others were present there.
Mathur, who has replaced Bhupendra Yavav (who has been made in-charge of the party in Bihar), would hold a series of party meetings in connection with preparations of the next LS polls.
