Gandhinagar: Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) of World Bank Group in the area of climate change in presence of State Chief Minister.

According to a statement issued by AMC, civic body aims to invest Rs. 7,000 crore in next five years (2019-2024) in the areas of environment and climate change. As per MoU, IFC will offer technical support to AMC in direction of proper use of financial resources and strategy to reduce pollution and side-effects of climate change. IFC will also offer technical assistance to AMC for e-mobility, green buildings, renewable energy transport, waste water treatment and waste-to-energy. IFC will also provide assistance under public private partnership(PPP) model for technical design and financial assistance.
