Gandhinagar: According to a decision taken in a meeting between the Education minister and government officials, Navratri vacation in schools and colleges of Gujarat this year will be observed between 30th September and 7 October (8 days) while Diwali vacation will be between 25th October and 6th November (13 days). This detail was shared by the State government today evening in official statement. Earlier there were report suggesting possibility of discontinuation of Navratri vacation from this year. However the reports have proven wrong. The government has decided to go ahead with its controversial decision to give vacation during Navratri. Navratri and Diwali vacations will be observed in all government and private primary, secondary and higher secondary schools.
