Rahul Gandhi no more Congress president

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi today officially announced his decision to step down from the post of the party president. Rahul tweeted a letter and in same tweet said: It is an honour for me to serve the Congress Party, whose values and ideals have served as the lifeblood of our beautiful nation. I owe the country and my organization a debt of tremendous gratitude and love. Jai Hind.
Rahul had earlier in talk with media persons at parliament today said: The party should decide on the new president quickly without further delay, I am nowhere in this process. I have already submitted my resignation and I am no longer the party president. CWC should convene a meeting at the earliest and decide.
Rahul today also changed his twitter profile and removed the title ‘Congress President’ from his bio.
