Chudasama summoned by High Court in Dholka election case
August 23, 2019
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat High Court has summoned Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama on August 27 to give his statement on election petition filed by rival Congress candidate Ashwin Rathod.
Chudasama was declared victorious by margin of 327 votes against Rathod in December 2017 Gujarat assembly general election from Dholka seat in Ahmedabad district. Rathod had challenged Chudasama’s victory in the court claiming that counting of ballot papers was rigged in collusion with then Deputy Collector who played suspicious role.
