Ahmedabad: Long queues of vehicles have been witnessed at various centres across Gujarat to obtain PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificates as the State govt has announced deadline of September 16 for implementation of new Motor Vehicles Amendment Act (2019) which has provision of hefty fines for violations. It’s worth noting that if vehicle owner lack of of these –  license, insurance , PUC or RC book, he/she is liable to pay Rs. 500 fine for the first time offense and Rs. 1,000 fine for second time offense with effect from September 16, instead of Rs. 100 fine previously.
